I would like to take this moment to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Here are a few reasons I'm thankful to live in New Mexico! New Mexico is the fifth largest State in the Union and 2nd only to Arizona in days of sunshine per year. The climate is dry and extreme weather conditions are rare. Average annual precipitation ranges from less than 10 inches over much of the southern desert and the Rio Grande and San Juan Valleys to more than 20 inches at higher elevations in the State. The normal weather patterns call for warm to hot days and cool nights with scattered thundershowers in the summer and cold nights and moderate days with some snow in the winter. Fall and spring can bring some of the most gorgeous weather.
